wow, been two months plus since i've last updated my blog. a new record set! haha rubbish!
i've been busy, really busy! highlights for the past two months. 1) gf's birthday trip 2) school & exams 3) one year anniversary after i ORD! oh well, planned a trip in february or march (i cannot remember when was the Natas travel fair)... booked a trip to Lang Tengah Redang. Its an another island opposite Redang. package was rather cheap. so we left singapore on the 2nd of May. took a snoozer bus all the way to Terengganu. almost 3hours the journey, the only passenger was me and gf. was joined by another two passengers later. i can't help to imagine how much do they earn to make a trip to terengganu with just four passengers on an executive coach. anyway, reach terengganu at 7am... our resort coach was already waiting for us. good la. had a good local breakfast (nasi kandar)... got to the jetty... waited almost an hour for our boat to arrive. almost an hour journey and arrived at our final destination. surprisingly, i didnt get any sea sickness... =) oh well, what we've paid for the package is what we are getting for. totally like a chalet! it was satisfactory la but the food was fantastic! kudos to the cooks there for their cooking skills! first day activity was just snorkelling. my first time experience siol! but the place they brought us to the other side of the island... some corals here and there.. but it was nice la. i always hated the sea, but suddenly i fell in love with its nature. lol! 2nd day, had jungle trekking in the morning. regretted a full hearty meal in the morning. make me so bloated and had difficulty to climb the hill. i see gf climb like no problem.... of course la... somebody went mount kinabalu already... experience hor. hike for around an hour and reach to the other side of the island... had a magnificient scenery sia... stood by the giant rocks and look far into the south china sea. i was glad i made the hike because i managed to see god's wonderful creation. in the afternoon, off to another snorkelling trip to the marine park. i thought it was something special.. but shit f**k it was crowded with CHINA shitheads tourist. damn you all for making the water dirty. didnt really enjoy it... but one thing for sure, i was scared shit with this BIG ASS marine fish with gigantic LIPS. it appears everytime when i wanna feed the smaller fish with bread... i was screaming in the water and kanchiong la. hahahahahahahahahaha. that night, had a bbq dinner and they had the best bbq lamb steak in the whole world. hahaha! the next day, headed back to mainland and spent the whole day in terengganu... it was boring actually. nothing there except for the wet market and turtle eggs.... stayed at a guesthouse till 8pm and took a lousy long bus ride to perak. we literally travelled from the west coast of malaysia to the east coast of malaysia. freaking 10hours journey sia... haiz. should have taken a domestic flight which i believe is slight expensive than bus ride. oh well anyway, got to perak the next morning. pity gf had to spent her birthday on a bus ride... arrived perak at 6am... spent another 50ringgit just to go to our hotel which was like 30mins away... thats why malaysia's taxi is the worst rated in the world. anyway, we went to a hotel in a small town called Kampar. the hotel was not bad la.. i'd give it a 3star. our reason to go there was for river rafting activity! hahaha i was taught that river rafting have its own difficulty level. in perak, it was rated at three... so its still good enough for begineers like us. the guides was great and really friendly. the water was freezing lor! i was told that the water came down from cameron highlands. hahaha take that! so yeah started the journey... then came to a point we did BODY rafting... it was scary la for first timer... had to slide through alone along a fast streaming water.... i almost got choked with the water and was gasping for air la! but it was such a wonderful feeling having to survive it. lol! so rafted again and again.. went through a certain dangerous streams... could only count like 3-4 of it only.. other than that, continued crusing along the river.... spent almost two hours there. had fun and was awarded with a completion certificate for finishing a level 3 river rafting. lol! next, had a steamboat dinner at the hotel... the good was good la but wish we could do something more at the town. it was really a dead town sia... next day, wasted another day again just to take a night bus back home to singapore... luckily we took a damn good snoozer bus back home. had a comfortable ride back. =) next trip to new zealand for helirafting? or a level 6 water rafting? hehehehe yah save money first then can talk about it! next, i am really busy with work and school la. if you all dont know, i am currently doing my specialist diploma in NYP business school. just a short 10months course before i continue with a degree the next year or 2 years. =) and yes, its been a year since i ORD from the army. really miss my army life... a slack life, really lepak kind. haiz.. i miss my bunk, miss doing duty on weekends, miss the time when i rode a bike illegally out from camp just to get food.... doing stupid things like driving that huge 5-tan lorry. lol. crazy la. most importantly, i miss my friends there. hmmm talking about NS, my 2nd youngest brother will be back from his outstation duty in thailand after almost a year there. my youngest brother is an officer in guards now... man.... i wish they can go longer so i can have the room all by myself. hahaha. and yes, a friend of mine just got married! 24 and already got hitched. power la. |
