my first ever New Paper Big Walk 2008 at Marina Barrage. firstly, i would like to thank the organiser for letting me having a freaking BAD first experince of the BIG walk. really dissapointed. their logistics was very bad. it was stated in the papers its going to be 5km walk.... but i can roughly calculate that it was definitely more than 5km (took us almost 2hours & 10mins to complete). 1/10 of the journey, we had to walk on the grass as it was too crowded. 2/10 of the journey, we had to walk on an uneven ground (it reminds me of army days... route march stlye!) other than that, i only saw one medical post which was like at near to the ending point. what the hell are they thinking? it was really bad planning la. i really pity those aunty/uncle who had to walk so far on a hot & humid Sunday. the worst part was, there wasnt any water point!!! it was such a lousy logistic planning man. fucked up, seriously. i know it was just a walk, but come on!!! suddenly, i missed the army organization. there's always water points every 1-2km you ran/walked. if im not wrong, they will provide you bananas at the 5km point! hahaha. and army medical officers will be around every 2km and medics, they are everywhere! that is what i call proper logistics! nonetheless, i actually enjoyed walking with my love one. we complained and bitch about the event so much during the walk, making fun and jokes.. hahaha what a day. wanted to go to the beach after the walk, but ended up watching the coffin(lousy movie) and high school musical 3. wah siao eh, high school musical 3 is like some hindu/tamil movie la... they always sing and dance!! hahahahaha. okay la, nothing much to say... got pictures below.. enjoy!
