[one life saved!] 30compression and 2blows is the normal practise for doing CPR. but what i saw during my attachment.... there was a lot of irregularities. hmm never mind, sometimes in any case of emergencies, protocols and procedures have to be altered because every cases are very unique and never the same! i saw a lot of cases while i was attached to TTSH A&E department... a case of road traffic accident, cardiac arrest/failure(angina pectoris/acute myocardial infarction), collapsed, drug overdose and fractures. i have seen enough! the most gory ones was the road traffic accident. saw too much that almost made me want to puke. want to know more, ask me okay. i was super satisfied just now about a case of a collapsed elderly male. CPR was done en-route in ambulance... still no pulse and no breathing. but once handover to hospital, 3 SAF medics in A&E helped to continue doing CPR. we took turn to compressed the chest. from no pulse, till got pulse. we managed to revive him okay... damn jai one we all! =P "One life saved!!", i said while raising his left arm high. just like how we do to the manequin back in camp. =) but way before i even came to work, i was very delighted. somebody brighten up my day by suprisingly sending me off from home to work. =) very nice of my darling. oh btw, if you want to commit suicide... dont intoxicate yourself with little amount of liquid detergent okay? if you really want to commit suicide... just keep on drinking a lot a lot of it till you really die. dont waste the doctor's time to clean(wash) your stomach okay. they got other important things to do. please wake up your bloody idea. |
